“SMART PHONES, SMART PHOTOS”
CARSON CITY, NEVADA-Carson City Library will host Barry Smith, Executive Director of the Nevada Press Association, on Monday, July 23rd at 6:00 PM. Smith will present “Smart Phones, Smart Photos”, an informational program that will provide basic tips for taking photos with a smart phone. This program is geared toward novice users and will offer information about apps for editing photos, as well as storing and saving photos.
Smith has been director of the press association for six years and before that was editor of the Nevada Appeal for 10 years. He has been a journalist for 35 years in Nevada, Colorado and Illinois. He does not consider himself to be a professional photographer but has certainly used cameras in his profession over the years. He is happy he no longer has to mix chemicals in a darkroom.
Although “Smart Phones, Smart Photos” is geared toward novices, Smith said “people should come with all kinds of questions and suggestions for apps they use, or want to use, and we’ll pool our knowledge.” Don’t forget to bring your smart phone!
“Your Knowledge and Discovery Place”, Carson City Library, open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., is located at the corner of Roop and Washington Streets.
