Greenhouse Project Plant Sale
Carson City’s Greenhouse Project will hold a plant and yard sale on Saturday, May 19th from 8am to noon. Several varieties of seedlings and small plants will be available including tomatoes, peppers and petunias. The Greenhouse opened in December 2011, these plants are the first crops grown in the facility. There will also be a yard sale of donated items including restaurant supplies and household items. All money raised will benefit the Greenhouse Project.
The Greenhouse Project is located on the campus of Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman in Carson City.
The Greenhouse Project provides educational and vocational opportunities for students, youth groups and special needs individuals and serves as a year-round source of locally-grown agricultural and horticultural products for the Carson City community. It will also help provide fresh, nutritious produce to Carson City’s low income residents. It also produces the flowers for the Downtown Carson City flower basket program.
