Charrison David Ashton
CHARRISON DAVID ASHTON, known to many family and friends as Davey, was born March 10, 1939, to James David Ashton and Nellie Margaret “Margie” Charrison in Pasadena, California. The Ashton’s moved to Kings Beach, California in 1944. After graduating from Tahoe Truckee High School in 1957 he enlisted in the United States Navy serving one term touring the Pacific. Upon returning he made Incline Village his home where he raised his family and worked as the Store Manager for Raley’s and as a Security Supervisor/Manager on Duty for the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe until he retired and moved to Gardnerville in 2005.
David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Tracy Ashton of Carson City, sons Todd Ashton of Gardnerville, Troy Ashton; and wife Lori of Gardnerville, granddaughter Kacey Taylor; husband Zach and their son Griffin of Las Vegas, and granddaughter Taylor Moseley of Las Vegas. David is also survived by his loving sister Joellyn Knight of Roseville, California, and two nephews.
Those who knew David knew of the tremendous love and devotion he had for his family and of his witty and sometimes sharp sense of humor. He was truly grateful for all that he had and enjoyed every second of being surrounded by the magnificent mountains in Tahoe and his little “ranch” in Gardnerville. He had a passion for boating, hunting, camping, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed more than words can say but the spirit of his love and everything we learned from him will forever live on in all of us.
Private memorial services will be held.
