Latin music workshop and free concert

On Saturday, May 12, Carson City Symphony's Strings in the Schools will hold a Latin Music Workshop and concert at Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive, Carson City. Led by Symphony Education Director Sue Jesch and guest percussionists Liz White, Kevin Conlin, and Gerald Larson from the University of Nevada, Reno, the workshop is open to string players of all ages at no cost. For workshop schedule, reservations, and music, call Sue Jesch at 775-540-5584.

Following the workshop, at 3:00 p.m., the public is invited to a Latin Music Concert at Empire Elementary School featuring workshop participants and leaders. Admission is free and all are welcome.
