Northern Nevada Development Authority monthly breakfast meeting
Find out how Nevada is addressing the needs for broadband infrastructure that is, and will be, required for our businesses; particularly for health care to remain competitive.
Join NNDA on April 25 at 7 a.m. at Dayton Valley Country Club to hear from the experts in the field of broadband telecommunications as to what projects are underway and deployed throughout the rural areas and the State.
Through statewide collaboration with community stakeholders, with guidance from the Nevada Broadband Task Force and broadband stimulus awardees such as Connect Nevada, The Nevada Hospital Association, e-Care Nevada, and Arizona Nevada Tower Corporation, and infrastructure work being done by Frontier Communications, Nevada is pursuing broadband initiatives that will champion access to affordable, high quality, broadband services for many areas.
With a focus on rural Nevada, these initiatives promote economic development and an improved quality of life for residents and businesses statewide.
The initiatives focus on:
- employing extensive survey data
- robust broadband mapping
- awareness building, demand aggregation
- coordination with broadband service providers
- strategic planning by community groups
- deployment of new broadband infrastructure
