The Fabulous Thunderbirds take flight over Lake Tahoe's MontBleu April 12
With a soaring blend of Texas blues, rock and vintage R&B, The Fabulous Thunderbirds will spread their wings and bring their "Powerful Stuff" to Lake Tahoe, April 12 for a one-night-only roost at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.
The all-American music band from Austin, Texas, known for hits such as "Powerful Stuff" "Wrap it Up" and "Tuff Enuff" turns 40 this year and celebrating with tour stops around the country and at MontBleu Theater. The Saturday show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available by calling the MontBleu Box Office at (888) 829-7630.
Kim Wilson, the Fabulous Thunderbirds co-founder, vocalist and harmonica player, remains the band's sole original member. Formed in 1974, Wilson kept the group going, incorporating keyboards into its guitar-driven style.
Throughout the decades Wilson has led the "T-Birds," through various incarnations, all-the-while maintaining a devotion to their signature blues blended high-energy rock ‘n roll sound with a little Texas thrown in. Last year the group produced its 13th studio album, On the Verge. The band has also produced two live and 10 compilation albums.
In addition to Wilson, the Thunderbirds line-up feature Jay Moeller on drums, Johnny Moeller and Mike Keller on guitar, and Randy Bermudes on bass.
