Sublime with Rome, George Clinton and Rob Schneider fill up entertainment venue MontBleu Resort

(Press Release) On the heels of its most successful year, MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa at Lake Tahoe continues its popular top-contemporary entertainment with the addition of Sublime with Rome and special guest Everlast; George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic; and comedian Rob Schneider.

Sublime with Rome are the remaining members of the iconic ’90s Southern California ska, rock and punk band Sublime. Joined by singer-guitarist Rome Ramirez, the re-grouped band will bring memorable riffs, beats and lyrics to the MontBleu Theater, March 11. The roots of the new band took shape when two original members teamed with Ramirez to bring back the iconic sound of early ’90s Sublime frontman, the late Bradley Nowell. Notable songs from Sublime include “What I Got,” “Doin' Time” and “Wrong Way.” Sublime with Rome's debut album, “Yours Truly,” was released in July 2011. Special guest Everlast is a Grammy Award-winning American rapper and songwriter, known for his solo hit “What It's Like” for rap group, House of Pain. Tickets are $39 and are available online.

The Expendables, a Santa Cruz based-group that blends reggae, punk rock and ’80s style dueling guitar solos, will rock the house, Feb. 11. The group was a crowd favorite at the annual summer music festival, Warp Tour in California. With five albums down and countless miles traveled for tours they continue to pump up audiences.

Comedian, TV star and singer Wayne Brady will have the audience in stitches with his inaugural MontBleu stand-up performance, Feb. 18. Brady is known for his improvisational talents from the show “Who’s Line is it Anyway,” his daytime talk show “The Wayne Brady Show” and “Let’s Make a Deal.”

A remarkable package of reggae: Iration, Trevor Hall and Thrive will all be on the same bill, Feb. 25. Iration's unique tropical sound blends elements of reggae, rock and pop with keyboard/synth to produce a unique groove.

The popular American rock group 311 takes the stage March 6 performing an array of chart-toping songs from their 10 albums. Their latest album, Universal Pulse, released earlier this year includes hit singles, “Sunset in July” and “Count Me In.”

The Godfather of Funk, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelics return to the MontBleu Theatre, March 22. The principal architect of the P-Funk sound, this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend splashes, dashes and cuts rhymes into mesmerizing fits of groove and improvisation like no other.

Comedian, former Saturday Night Live cast member, screenwriter and film actor Rob Schneider returns to Tahoe and will bring his trademark blend of character and comedic acting to the MontBleu Theater, March 24. Schneider recently made a return to standup and television with his new show ¡Rob! which aired on CBS, Jan. 12.

MontBleu has something completely different on a snowy Saturday night – it involves curiosity, towels and swimsuits poolside at the new Onsen Beach & Nightclub. Since its summer 2011 opening, Onsen has become one of the most talked about spots in Tahoe.
