Washoe Tribe among delegation pledging continued protection at annual Lake Tahoe Summit

These hikes vary from 45 minutes long like our historical Devil's Ladder hike to three hours long like our water color painting hikes.
Fishing Report: Camping, Sierra waters finally opening following record winter; be fire smart

Also note in this report that there are still some areas that have not opened up due to snow and muddy terrain.

Northern Nevada backyards and gardens: Pests inside and out

Nancy resorted to trapping them in live traps and then putting them, trap and all, into a large tote filled with water.

Forest Service offers 'Hike With a Ranger' program at Tahoe's Heavenly Mountain Resort

The USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit along with our partner Heavenly Mountain Resort, invites the public to Hike with a Range. Hikes will take place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11 a.m. at the top of the Heavenly Gondola.

Capitol City Gun Club Three Shot Shoot rescheduled

The event will take place on the Sporting clays Course with pump and semi-automatic shotgun classes. Registration begins at 9:00am with a $50 entry fee per shooter per class. Shooting begins at 10:00am and goes until 4:30pm. Prizes include gift certificates for target packages of 150, 100, and 50 clays. Everyone is invited to come!

Forest Service announces tentative selections for Lake Tahoe resort concessions

Issuance of new special use permits are subject to a 45-day appeal period.

As I looked more closely, I discovered caterpillars, mostly on the undersides of the leaves.
