Jon Elizabeth Frey left us on October 13, 2017, after a brief illness. She was born to Caroline and John C. Bohm on March 9, 1967. She was a lifetime Carson City resident.

On October 18, 1987, she married David Frey. She was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Cathryne and Anthony Sainz; grandsons AJ and Robert; sisters, Christine and Margaret; and brother, Jimmy.

Lucille (Lucy) Garman
Oct. 9, 1938 - Sept. 21, 2017

Our loving wife and mother passed away on September 21, 2017 in Carson City in the arms of her family.

Lucy was born on October 9, 1938 to John and Thelma Freeman in Francis, OK. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister; Jimmy, George, Johnny and Ramona. They moved from Oklahoma to Alta Loma, CA in 1945. Lucy graduated from Chaffey High in 1956.

Phyllis Lorraine Anker Bendure, 98, passed away peacefully early Friday morning on August 11th. She was born in Reno, Nevada on March 7, 1919, a third generation Nevadan whose grandparents emigrated to Lovelock from Denmark and established Anker Ranch in 1877. That ranch is still in the family today.

Dane Glauner, 53, of Carson City, NV, passed away May 31, 2017 in his home. A son of Hugh Dallas Glauner, Dane was also preceded in death by his sisters Charlene and Michelle. Dane is survived by his wife Jeanette, children Kyra Hinton, Kain Hollenback; grandchildren Audrianna Hinton and Kaden Hollenback; his mother Opal Lee, his brothers David, Daniel, Dale, Darin; his sisters Jenny and Cindy; many nieces, nephews and close friends. He also leaves behind his furry friends, Buckles and Keepers who always brightened his day.

Sharon Alexander was born May 17, 1940 to Elmer and Carol Brearty in Oakland, California. Sharon graduated from Fremont High School in 1958.

David Elwyn Johnson passed away on Saturday May 6th after a long battle with cancer. He loved music, especially jazz, and was fortunate to make music his career as a skilled piano tuner and kindhearted piano teacher. David touched the lives of many as he brought excellence to his profession. He shared his musical talent by playing trombone for many years with the Carson City Symphony.

Roanna "Annie" Iris Booth was born November 24, 1984 in Carson City, NV to Bernita Simpson and late father Garrick Booth. Roanna went on to be with the Lord February 9, 2017.

She is survived by her husband German and her 3 children Briyanna, German, & Teresa Aguirre. Also her mother, 2 grandmothers Lenora Short, Imogene Tom, sisters Stephanie, Carolee, Leslie, Gracie, Loni, Christian, Trinity, Karri, her brother Paul & nieces Zoe & Tahlia, nephews Anthony, Zane & Raymond Jr, along with numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA., the second eldest child of Joseph Patrick McGuire Jr. and Sylvia Francis May, Joe spent his early childhood in and around that area, moving often due to his Father’s work.

In 1964, at the age of 13, he and his family moved to Carson City, the Capital of Nevada. It was there, playing in the school band, that Joe had discovered a love of music that would become the muse that he would follow the rest of his life.

Helen Elaine Templeton, 68, After a long battle with cancer, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2017. She leaves behind her husband, John Templeton of Carson City, Nevada, brother Randy Cox, her children and bonus-children Carla (Tom), Heidi (Mike), Landon (Rachael), Mitty (John), Bonnie (Herb), and Glenn (Kim). Helen’s life was also filled with love from her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Michael R. Curcio passed away quietly on December 11th following a battle with lengthy illnesses. Michael was born on September 4th, 1939 in San Jose, California.
Michael was a firefighter in San Jose, California, retired and moved with his family to Genoa, Nevada where he pursued a dream of a wild west actor and entertainer, fast draw enthusiast and gunsmith, and showing his Track T with the Hot Rodders in Gardnerville Nevada.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Goldie Curcio of San Jose CA, his wife Sharon, and his daughter Shelle.

Dianne Harman Askew, 70, passed away peacefully on November 28 after a brave battle with interstitial lung disease, a rare autoimmune disorder.

Born in Detroit in 1946, Dianne was raised in El Paso, Texas. A Kappa Delta, she graduated from the University of Texas El Paso with a bachelor’s degree in business. Shortly afterward, a handsome and charming drill sergeant, Phillip “Mike” Askew, just returned from a tour of duty in Vietnam, swept her off her feet.

Kenneth Charles Traum passed away suddenly at his home in Martinez, Calif., on Nov. 5, 2016. He was 45.

Kenny was born on July 17, 1971, at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, Calif. He moved to South Lake Tahoe, Calif., with his mother, Judy, and brother, Mike, when both boys were toddlers. He attended pre-school at Under the Magic Pine Tree, followed by Meyers and Al Tahoe elementary schools, South Tahoe Middle School, and graduated from South Tahoe High School in 1989.
