60 years ago in February of 1964, The Beatles made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. Beatles Flashback will be celebrating that historic event with this special show.

The Carson City Symphony and Carson Chamber Singers will perform on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center's Bob Boldrick Theater, 851 E. William Street in Carson City.

Mile High Jazz Band will present “Jazz Sampler for Sweethearts” on Valentine's Day Eve, Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gina's Good Life Music & Lounge, 507 N. Carson Street inside the Carson Nugget. The music is free; donations are welcome.

Enjoy one of classic Hollywood's most iconic duos, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, in all their passionate and gritty glory this Feb. 9-10 at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City. Witness the sizzling chemistry between them as Bogart cracks wise and Bacall smolders in "To Have and Have Not," "The Big Sleep," "Dark Passage" and "Key Largo."

"Look for Something Good," a novel written by Carson City author Robert Drews, is now available for purchase at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center gift shop in Carson City.

The book is a story of change, journey, and discovery for two friends who hit the reset button and embark on separate treks to points east, south, and then back west to find their place in the world. They wind up finding a great deal more.

On Feb. 8 at 6:30pm, the Douglas County Historical Society presents a 55-minute Chautauqua presentation of Lake Tahoe’s wealthy and eccentric George and Elia Whittell. Local authors and historians David and Gayle Woodruff re-enact the characters of one of the wealthiest couples on the West Coast during the 1920s through 1950s.
