Authorities look for pair who stole from Cafe of Adele's in Carson City

The thieves broke into the back of the restaurant around 2 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, Carson City sheriff's Detective Salvador Acosta said.
Crime Log: Carson City officers make several felony arrests over the week

- Stephanie Farmer, 23, a Carson City woman, at 6 p.m. Thursday. Farmer was arrested for vehicular burglary as well as a misdemeanor allegation of obstructing. Bail is set at $25,300 plus administrative fees.

'In May of 2012 Storey County voted to close the Storey County Public Library, (sic) Carson City Library Board of Trustees should consider a policy on a fee for issuing library cards to Nevada jurisdictions not providing any level of library service to their residents. (Action)'
Nevada PUC promotes Lifeline Awareness Week Sept. 10-16

Lifeline is a government benefit program supported by the Universal Service Fund that provides a discount on phone service for qualifying low-income consumers.
The Lifeline program helps to ensure eligible consumers have the opportunities and security that telephone service affords, including being able to connect to jobs, family and emergency services.
Staying connected to local resources and emergency services are vital to low-income and elderly residents, say state regulators.

Rombardo to appoint Mark Krueger as Carson City Assistant District Attorney

Rombardo will be appointing Mark Krueger to fill the Assistant District Attorney position vacated by Gardner, according to a news release. Krueger will officially begin his new role as Carson City’s second in charge of the District Attorney’s Office on Sept. 24.
