June 9, 2024 (All day) The Kids & Horses program is so excited to announce that we have our Gold Sponsor for our 11th annual charity golf tournament on June 9th, at Incline Village Championship Golf Course. Though they have chosen to remain anonymous, their generosity speaks volumes! We could not do what we do without the support of our community, and we are so thankful to all of those who continue to help us change lives.
Because most of our programs are of little to no cost to our participants, we rely on grants and the generosity of donors to keep our mission going strong. Kids & Horses has been serving the Carson Valley community and beyond since 1999. Sam and Lorri Waldman founded the ranch, which initially provided adaptive riding to children and adults with disabilities. With the ongoing dedication and support from so many who believed in the mission, we have grown from our early days to offer so much more. From physical, occupational and speech therapy to summer camps; Washoe Tribal programs; memory loss workshops for individuals and their care partners; and new programs on the horizon such as foster mentorship programs; Kids & Horses continues to push the boundaries of what is possible. We are a PATH certified facility, and take pride in striving to stay on top of the needs of the community, and offering the best programs and services possible using equine assisted services.
