Pet lovers invited to celebrate Bobby the Boxer's life; urged to bring dog food instead of flowers
I would like to take a moment and introduce you to an extraordinary dog, Bobby the Boxer. Bobby was born with a neurological disorder that controlled his motor skills; it’s like Parkinson's for a human.
Bobby beat all the odds, he was never supposed to walk, but with hope, love, physical therapy, quad carts and most of all his determination, Bobby was able to walk on his own. Bobby and I adopted each other in May 2010 which forever changed my life. The intense connection that we had was like no other.
No one knew for sure when Bobby's birthday was since he was dumped at a local park, so I changed his birthday to Feb. 14 and he was my Valentine's boy.
Bobby crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Feb. 1, 2019; he would have been 9 on Valentine’s Day. There will be a Celebration of Life for Bobby on March 23, 2019 at San Marcos Grill in Carson City beginning at 1 p.m.
All are invited, whether you personally knew Bobby, followed him on Facebook or would like to come to honor your pets that have also crossed the Rainbow Bridge. RSVP Sherrie by call or text at 775-790-0030.
All that is being asked is if you attend to bring a can of dog food, a blanket, a pet toy, or a bag of food, all will be donated to a shelter in honor of Bobby. Bobby loved everyone that he met during his life, and his love lives on in all that followed him and knew him.
