Obituary: Kenneth Robert Taylor
Kenneth Robert Taylor passed away peacefully with family by his side in Las Vegas on Jan. 22, 2019 following a brief, unexpected illness which took him away too quickly and far too early.
Ken was born on April 7th, 1953 to John and Lois Taylor in San Francisco, CA and grew up in the California Bay area. Throughout his life, he always described himself as a "big kid", always full of adventure and making memories for his family.
He was a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan. He held many jobs throughout his life and served them with commitment and honor. As a young man, he was a firefighter. He was then able to then combine his passion for technology and electronics working for Gannett, USA Today, European Stars and Stripes, and the Nevada Automotive Test Center. In 1985 he married his best friend and the love of his life, Michele.
As a family man, he moved his family around the world from Virginia, to Germany, and finally Nevada. He raised his family in Carson City, teaching his kids baseball, football, hockey, and how to work on cars.
He retired in Las Vegas. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois, whom he cared for until their passing.
He leaves behind his wife, Michele, brothers Dean and Chuck and their families, sons Michael and Zachary and his daughters in law Lauren and Kacey, grand children Griffin, Miles, Theodore, and two that weren’t born yet at the time of his death, as well as nephews Ross, Kirk and their families, friends and many other loved ones. He was so proud of his family and his life. Your family is proud of you, Dad. We love you and miss you every day.
